It’s not often we get such a close encounter with a Blue Whale, but sometimes we are rewarded with such an interaction. On our Big Whale Trip in February, we had such an encounter. Usually, we get to see Blue Whales at a distance and that’s a treat of its own….but having one circle our boat twice and go under it was a spectacular once in a lifetime experience. You then really can appreciate the size of these giant cetaceans.
