If you happen to be driving to Campo Cortez Ecolodge….you’re in for a great trip. We are definitely off the beaten path. Prepare wisely…make sure of these:
- you have a spare tire
- your spare has air in it
- you have your tire jack
Most folks never need to change a tire on the road, but when you do….you might find your tire doesn’t have air or you cant even get it out of where it’s held…it might have been in that spot for 5-10 years and whatever is holding the tire in place….is frozen stuck…it’s happened to me so many times…i’ve gotten used to removing my spare tire about once every 3 years to check it.

Here is a three minute video that takes you from the Gas Station in San Ignacio through the town square in San Ignacio and past the mission all the way to San Ignacio Lagoon and then past the airport to the end of the road to Campo Cortez Ecolodge. This is a great drive and full of scenic places to stop.
