Stay at Campo Cortez, our solar-powered Ecolodge located right on the shores of San Ignacio Lagoon. Each cabin is a cozy and wind-sheltered space with real beds, solar power for charging small devices, and views of the water. It's a comfortable home base for your stay at the Gray Whale Sanctuary.
Each day includes two whale watching excursions with our experienced local boat captains, who have decades of experience on the water in this Lagoon. These outings often bring close-up interactions with Gray Whales, known for approaching the boats and sometimes allowing guests to touch them. In between the whale watches, enjoy walks along the beach, tide-pool outings, birdwatching, or simply relaxing at the ecolodge.
